Terms of service

Last updated 27 October 2026

These terms apply when a business (the Customer) uses NIVO, the workshop management service provided by Shanova AB (we). By creating a company in NIVO, or by signing an order that refers to these terms, the Customer accepts them on behalf of its business. NIVO is offered to businesses only, not to consumers.

1. Who we are

  • Company: Shanova AB
  • Organisation number: 559193-0069
  • Email: info@shanova.se

2. The service

NIVO lets a car body and paint workshop run its work: bookings, check-in, the workshop floor, time, parts and stock, quotes, invoices, and messages with its own customers by email, SMS and WhatsApp. Some features use AI (see section 7). We develop the service continuously; a feature may change or be replaced as long as the service as a whole keeps its purpose.

3. Accounts and users

  • The person who creates the company becomes its administrator and decides who else may use it and in which role.
  • The Customer is responsible for its users, for keeping their sign-in details to themselves, and for everything done under its accounts.
  • A new company is reviewed before it is opened, to keep the service free of fake sign-ups. We may decline a company without giving a reason.

4. The Customer's data

  • Everything the Customer and its users put into NIVO (customers, cars, jobs, photos, messages, invoices) belongs to the Customer.
  • We use it only to provide the service, to support the Customer and to keep the service secure, never for our own marketing and never to train AI models.
  • When the data includes personal data, the Customer is the controller and Shanova AB the processor. The Data processing agreement is part of these terms and governs that processing.
  • The Customer may export its data at any time while the agreement is in force.

5. Acceptable use

The Customer may not use NIVO to break the law, to send unsolicited marketing, to store content it has no right to, to try to reach other customers' data, or to disrupt the service. Messages the Customer sends to its own customers through NIVO must have a lawful basis, which the Customer is responsible for.

6. Messages through third parties

Email, SMS and WhatsApp messages are delivered through the providers listed under Subprocessors. We send what the Customer asks us to send, but delivery also depends on networks, providers and the recipient, so we cannot guarantee that every message arrives.

7. AI features

Some features use AI models to suggest: text from speech, readings of photos and documents, translations, replies and prices. A suggestion is never final by itself: a person confirms it, and the Customer remains responsible for what it sends, charges and records. AI runs within the EU, the Customer's data is not used to train models, and an administrator can switch AI off for the whole company.

8. Fees and payment

  • Fees follow the price list or order in force. Unless agreed otherwise they are invoiced monthly in advance, payable within 30 days, plus VAT.
  • On late payment we charge interest under the Swedish Interest Act and may, after a written reminder and 14 days, suspend the service until the invoice is paid.
  • We may change prices with at least 60 days' notice. The Customer may end the agreement before the change takes effect.
  • A free pilot or trial period, when offered, ends as agreed and continues on the price list only if the Customer chooses to.

9. Availability and support

We aim for the service to be available at all times and plan maintenance outside the working day where we can. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access unless a service level has been agreed in writing. Support is given by email and through the support function in NIVO.

10. Confidentiality

Each party keeps the other's confidential information to itself, during the agreement and for three years after, except where the law requires otherwise.

11. Intellectual property

NIVO, its software and its documentation belong to Shanova AB and its licensors. The Customer receives a right to use the service for its own business while the agreement is in force. Ideas and feedback the Customer gives may be used freely to improve NIVO.

12. Liability

  • Each party is liable for direct damage it causes through negligence.
  • Neither party is liable for indirect damage, such as lost profit, lost revenue or lost data that could have been restored from the Customer's own records.
  • Our total liability in a twelve-month period is limited to the fees the Customer paid for the service in the twelve months before the damage occurred.
  • The limits do not apply to damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence, or to liability that cannot be limited by law.
  • A claim must be made in writing within three months of when the damage was discovered.

13. Events beyond our control

Neither party is liable for delay or failure caused by circumstances it could not reasonably control, such as a failure at a major cloud or telecom provider, a power cut, war, a pandemic or a decision by a public authority.

14. Term and termination

  • The agreement runs until further notice, with one calendar month's notice for either party, unless an order says otherwise.
  • Either party may end the agreement at once if the other materially breaches it and does not put it right within 30 days of a written notice.
  • After the agreement ends, the Customer can export its data for 30 days. We then delete it within 90 days; copies in backups disappear as the backups rotate. Data we must keep by law, such as our own accounting records, is kept for as long as the law requires.

15. Changes to these terms

We may change these terms with at least 30 days' notice by email to the Customer's administrators. A change required by law, or one that only benefits the Customer, may apply sooner. If the Customer does not accept a change, it may end the agreement before the change takes effect.

16. Law and disputes

Swedish law applies. A dispute is decided by the general courts of Sweden, with the district court where Shanova AB has its registered office as the first instance.
